Education leaders from around the world gathered in Houston for the 2018 Texas Alliance of Black School Educators’ (TABSE) 33rd Annual Conference at the Hyatt Regency. From Elementary School to College: A Black Male Pipeline through STEM

This interactive and engaging workshop will educate participants on ways that colleges and universities can partner with community groups and non-profit organizations to create college ready African American males. The University of Texas at Dallas and Project Still I Rise Inc., have formed a partnership to create a pipeline for African American Males from Elementary School to College focusing on S.T.E.M Careers. The presenters will share tips, strategies and best practices on innovative programming such as the Urban S.T.E.M Initiative, African American Male Academic Bowl and the Urban S.T.E.M Camp all held on the UTD campus.
